Wen's Argentina visit to boost bilateral ties

Chinese premier Wen Jiabao has arrived in Argentina for a two-day official visit. It comes as China and Argentina celebrate 40 years of bilateral relations.

Premier Wen gave a written speech upon arrival, saying the two countries have enjoyed good coordination on international and regional issues. He expects to exchange views with the Argentine leaders on international and regional issues of common concern.

Before his arrival in Argetina, Premier Wen Jiabao visited Uruguay and attended talks on political and economic cooperation between the two countries. Wen Jiabao said China would like to see trade relations with Uruguay grow sustainably.
