Premier Wen Jiabao made a keynote speech on deepening
the collaboration of entrepreneurs on the 4th Conference
of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs.

Wen Jiabao, Premier, said, "I know that our African friends hope China can import more products from Africa with higher added value, diversify sectors of investment in Africa, input more capital, and step up the transfer of technology. The Chinese government has given high importance to the concerns of African enterprises. We are working with African governments to explore effective ways and methods. We have confidence in the future of China-African economic cooperation. We believe the cooperative path will become even broader."

Premier Wen Jiabao also says China and Africa now have wider common interests, and more solid fundamentals for cooperation. China will continue to support African countries on their own development paths. China will work with Africa and the international community to push forward peace and development, and improve the well-being of all people.

The President of Equatorial Guinea also made a speech at the conference. He said the China-Africa forum has turned into an effective mechanism of deepening cooperation. And he said African countries hope to share the responsibilities and benefits of working with China.

Business people from the two sides are expected to secure more business deals. In the past 3 China-Africa Business Conferences, the two sides signed 1 billion, 1.9 billion, and 2.8 billion US dollars worth of investment and cooperation contracts.

Total trade between China and Africa hit a record high of 160 billion US dollars last year. But for participants in this business summit, there is still more potential to tap into. They expect to expand the trade volume to a whopping 400 billion US dollars within the next three years. Trade and economic cooperation have indeed witnessed exponential growth, bringing more tangible benefits to the Chinese and African people.
