China's swimming twins: Tingting and Wenwen

Jiang Tingting and Jiang Wenwen are China’s synchronized swimming twins.

Ting and Wen were born in 1986 to a poor family in Sichuan province. They started swimming lessons when they were nine. The pair joined the Chinese team for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, with the team eventually taking the bronze medal.

The twins later went on to win the nation’s first gold medal at the 12th FINA Synchronized Swimming World Cup in Jiangsu province in 2010. They took silver at the FINA 2011 Swimming World Championships in Shanghai.

Now, the sisters have arrived in London, and are undergoing the final preparations ahead of the Olympics, beginning in just 5 days times.
