In southwest China's Chongqing municipality, the 42-year-old suspect dubbed the most dangerous man in China has been shot dead. The gunman is suspected of killing ten and wounding several others in armed robberies since 2004. A massive manhunt had been ongoing for several days in different areas of Chongqing municipality. We begin our program today with a look at the manhunt.

It all started on August, 10th. Zhou Kehua was suspected of killing a woman and injuring two others in a robbery in front a local bank in the Shapingba district of Chongqing. A few hours later, a railway police officer was found dead from three gunshot wounds. Local police believe he was murdered in an encounter with Zhou. After that, a massive manhunt was carried out in and around Gele Mountain, where Zhou was believed to be hiding. Notices offering large rewards for clues to Zhou's whereabouts were posted on nearly every street in urban parts of Chongqing. Police meanwhile set up checkpoints on many major streets and at toll plazas on highways.

Finally on Tuesday morning, the suspect was spotted by police in the Tongjiaqiao area of Shapingba district and shot dead.
