In China, students are becoming the target of plastic surgery marketing. Some think cosmetic surgery can give them an aesthetic competitive edge over their peers, but are they ignoring the hidden risks?  Full story >>

For more on the issue, we’re joined on the phone by Dr. Long Xiao, from the plastic surgery department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital. Hello, Dr. Long

Q1. Have your patients been getting younger and younger? Have you talked to them about why they want to get plastic surgery?

Q2. Can the surgery hurt the health of teenagers? At what age do you suggest that they do it instead?

Q3. There have been some botched plastic surgeries reported in recent years. Do you think these plastic surgery failures will make teenagers more cautious?
