Q1. Mr Zuan, there’s a lot of speculation in the Japanese media on how the new Chinese leadership might deal with the disputed islands issue. Do you think there will be any significant changes to China’s position and approach towards the Diaoyu Islands?

Q2. Professor Morrison, how do you see the future development of Sino-Japanese relations? What can the two sides do to avoid further escalating territorial disputes? Will it complicate the geopolitical balance in east Asia?
