Chinese people are in high spirits as they bid farewell to the past year and welcome a new year of the Chinese calendar. For Chinese people, the Spring Festival is the most important holiday of the year. It is a time for family reunion, and the New Year’s dinner is a significant part of the celebration. But there are still differences in celebrating the tradition.

CCTV NEWS sent reporters to Northern Heilongjiang Province, Southest Guizhou Province and Hong Kong SAR to see how the different regions are celebrating the Chinese New Years. Let's go to the coldest place in China first. Our reporter Guanyang reports from the Snow Village in Heilongjiang Province.
