Doing it on computer is the only way that I could get it going. For those of you who have a crush on stone, you'll find a paradise at the Geological Museum of China. An exhibition of ores from around the world went on display at the museum on Tuesday to mark International Museum Day. Now, these aren't your run-of-the-mill rocks. These beauties are enough to inspire future geologists, environmentalists, and every Earth-loving soul.

The ore exhibition gathers mineral treasures from the world over. They are lent from museums and private collectors from over twenty countries, and number more than a hundred. Not only are they of scientific value, but they are artifacts, too.

"This is my first time watching an ore exhibition. They are different than those that have been processed. They are very natural, and have a unique luster." Spectator said.

Cao Xiping, Vice director of Geological Museum of China, said, "We have on display the world's top class phosphorus manganese ore. This piece of phosphorus manganese ore is worth of over a million yuan. An ore to be collected by museum should have nice color, a fine crystalline structure, be of significant size, and possess good transparency."

This exhibition is the first of its kind in China. It aims at arousing viewers' interest in geological science, and raising public awareness about protecting the earth. The exhibition will run two months until mid July.
