Expo visitors can appreciate some of the treasures of every country at each of the individual pavilions. One highlight for fairgoers is the Italian pavilion where art is featured prominently -- including two paintings by Canaletto.

The works of Giovanni Antonio Canal -- better known as Canaletto -- take you back to 18th Venice. One depicts the Rialto Bridge of Venice. The other, of a scene in St. Mark's Square, portrays the lifestyles of the Venetians of that era. Created at a time when photography had yet to be invented, Canaletto's works are cherished records of 18th century Venice. These two masterpieces are sure to delight art lovers from around the world as they visit the Italian pavilion in Shanghai.
