Imperial Dragon Seal auctioned in Taiwan

You might be interested in this imperial Dragon Seal, which was sold 442 times higher than its original purchase price in an auction in Taiwan.

The imperial Dragon Seal put on auction on Saturday was from the Emperor Qianlong period in the 18th century. It belonged to Tsai Chen-nan, the former Cathay Trust Co.

Chairman who once purchased it for 33 thousand US dollars in 1984. He mortgaged it to a bank because of financial woes in 1985.

For 480 million Taiwan Dollars, or 100 million Chinese Yuan, the jade seal was sold to Michael Wang, Chairman of the My Humble House Group.

The price is a record in Taiwan seal auction history.
