Qiang embroidery displayed in Chengdu

Embroidery is a staple craft for the people of ethnic Qiang minority who mainly live in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The traditional handicrafts underwent some modern twists recently with an unconventional fashion show held in the old residential compound in Chengdu.

These outfits have something in common. They were all integrated with the elements of the culture of Qiang people. Qiang embroidery provides important inspiration and design elements for these costumes.

According to designers, in blending traditional crafts with modern fashion, the beauty of Qiang embroidery was given a full manifestation.
