At the Capital Airport, a detachment of Terracotta Warriors, unearthed from the tombs near Xi'an of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, is amassing.

Fortunately, it's only an exhibition. But these ancient soldiers are getting quite a lot of attention from tourists, especially if they're seeing the impressive figures up close for the first time.

The exhibition at the Capital Airport features dozens of Terracotta Warriors and horses discovered near the necropolis of the First Qin Emperor. There are also replicas of sculptors and paintings of the Qin and Western Han Dynasties from nearly two-thousand years ago.

Many tourists say they never expected to see the ancient warriors at such close range. They become instantly impressed by the advanced level of casting technology used so long ago.

The Terracotta Army, unearthed in Xi'an by local farmers in 1974 is a form of funerary art buried with Qin Shi Huang, who declared himself the First Emperor of China in 221 B.C.

The Capital Airport receives thousands of tourists everyday, many of whom visit China for the first time.

The exhibition of Terracotta Warriors provides a prime platform for foreign visitors to get to know more about China and its culture. It's certainly worth stopping for a moment even if you're on a tight schedule.
