Comedy Fest: It's time to laugh!

Bored of your routine existence and wanna do something for fun? Well, you might find some solace at the comedy festival held annually in Toronto, Canada.

Entitled "Just For Laughs," the hilarious event this year features cross talk artists from China for the first time who have audiences in stitches with their exchange of funny banters.

The "Just For Laughs" festival was inaugurated in 1983. Over the past decades the event has established its reputation of attracting the biggest names in comedy from around the world.

People come here for fun. So far, over 350-thousand tourists from Canada as well as other countries have enjoyed the occasion, helping boost the local economy by raking in profits of nearly 10-million Canadian dollars.

This time around, Chinese comedians were invited to debut at the "Just For Laughs" festival.

Jiang Kun, Chinese comedian, said, "We've rearranged our programs in the context of an international background. We try to avoid the dialogues in colloquial Chinese and stay away from Chinese dialects, slang and those words popular in the bygone days."

Apart from Chinese comedies and non-verbal slapstick, the festival also features magic shows, mime performances, shadow plays. Kazak ballads with stunning costumes, music and dance round out the list.

So, "Pack up your troubles. C'mon get happy." It's time to laugh!
