Time for Hubei to shine at Expo

And Sunday was a special day for Hubei province at the Expo. Opening with a big celebration on stage, Hubei Week features various events, displaying the charm of its rich and distinctive folk culture.

Typical elements of Hubei province are fully demonstrated at the Expo. There's folk song and dance presented by Tujia minority, handicrafts of the ancient Phoenix city Fenghuang, and a display introducing its abundant rice and fish.

From a song and dance gala in theatres, to exciting street parades, nearly 50 shows will be staged during the week.

The rich and diverse intangible cultural heritage of Hubei province will also highlight the celebration as folk artists give live demonstrations.
