South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region has put its splendid culture on display at the Shanghai World Expo.
So, let's check out how the folks from Guangxi want to spend their week in the spotlight.
Guangxi week opens with a show steeped in local flavor. The stage is decorated with Zhuang Embroidery, and drums at the sides of audience seats. The performance and setting delivers the concept of a "Green Home" in Guangxi. And a documentary of the region's white-headed leaf monkey is screened for visitors.
Lu Hao, director of Guangxi Week show, said, "Through the white headed leaf monkey, we want to explore the correlations between nature and urban development, which also echoes this expo's theme, better city, better life."

Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is also home to many intangible heritages. In the folk culture zone they have exhibited Zhuang silver ornaments, costumes and pictures of indigenous dances.
This single-string instrument is currently applying for Guinness Book of World Records. The five-meter-long plucked instrument belongs to the Jing ethnic minority in Guangxi. Su Chunfa, who's an inheritor of the art, said he has coached over two hundred students to play the instrument.
Zhuang embroidery is another highlight. This piece comprises over 100,000 stitches and took three months to complete.
