A Chinese three-dimensional animation picture promoting the world Expo has made its debut. The Legend of Silkboy, dubbed by leading Chinese artists, is being well-received as it tells a creative story about the World expo.

The story is a magical voyage which leads the audience through time and space. Silkboy is the great grandson of the first Chinese merchant who won a gold prize at the 1851 world Expo in London with his "Rong Jihu" silk. He travels back in time to embark on a trip visiting ancient tombs in search of legacies.

Jackie Chan, Li Bingbing and Shanghainese stand-up comedian Zhou Libo are all among the voices. Jackie Chan improvises a change of the script from "taxi"to "rickshaw" to enhance the authenticity of his character while Zhou Libo adopts the Shanghai dialect. The artists' performances give the film a humorous touch.
