Chinese and Vietnamese young people kicked off a celebration of friendship in Southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Wednesday.
It's the largest cultural exchange activity between the two nations since diplomatic relations were established 60 years ago.
A series of celebrations are being carried out in eight cities in Guangxi. Some 30-thousand Chinese and around 3000 young people from Vietnam are involved in four-days of activities.
The guests are being taken on a tour to the Vietnamese school in Guangxi's Guilin city, Hu Zhi-Minh Memorial Hall and the economic zone in Beibu Gulf, where they can see first-hand the rapid development of China.

A participant from Vietnam said, "The activity provides a great opportunity for us to understand each other's culture and customs and exchange ideas. I'm really looking forward to more events like this."
A participant from China said, "Some of my classmates are from Vietnam and we are like a family. I wish I could make more Vietnamese friends at this celebration."
The theme song of the celebration was announced on Tuesday. It's a combination of Guangxi's folk songs and Vietnamese musical instruments, and just like the friendship between the two neighboring countries, the music is long lasting and harmonized.
