This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Switzerland.
As a major event in the celebration, "Culture Scapes China" will be held all around Switzerland.
"Culture Scapes China" will be held at eighteen cities around Switzerland from mid September to the beginning of December.
The event focuses on introducing both the traditional and modern culture of China to the Swiss people. There will be activities including music, plays, dance, exhibitions, literature, and film. Four-hundred artists and experts will be on hand to perform or communicate with folks in Switzerland.
Xiang Xiaowei, asst. director of Foreign Affairs Bureau, Min. of Culture, said, "During the past thirty years after China's reform and opening up, a slew of cultural exchange events allowed foreign audiences know the splendor of Chinese history and culture, but many foreigners nowadays are more curious about a modern China, so we have included a lot of modern items at the event. They will answer the questions of many young Swiss people."

"Culture Scapes" have been held in Switzerland every year since 2003, and each year a different country serves as the guest of honor.
And this year, with China as the guest of honor, will be the longest and largest scale Culture Scapes in the event's seven-year history.
