The 2010 Guangzhou Book Festival and Guangzhou Book Fair closes at Pazhou Convention Center on Wednesday.

Over 700-thousand readers engaged in this one-week reading carnival, with a sales volume of over 30 million Yuan.

More than 200 themed activities were featured at this book festival, including book sales exhibitions, lectures and some culture exhibitions of the southern region.

This book festival improves reader service by enlarging its trading space, distributing free subway and entrance tickets.

Besides the main venue, the organizer established 21 branch venues in other cities throughout Guangdong Province.

First held in 2007, Guangzhou Book Festival has become a popular and influential cultural brand among readers, and its slogan of "enjoying reading and pursuing knowledge" has won wide support.
