Performances draw 40 percent of audience at Expo

The Expo has been going on for over three months.

Multiple landscapes and cultures are attracting crowds inside the pavilions, but the performances up and down the avenues of Expo Park are sharing the spotlight.

The total expo attendance had reached 44-million. Of that number, 40 percent, or around 18-million, had watched a performance held at expo park.

Over 600 different programs were on show, giving some 14-thousand performances in total.

On average, 120 performances happen every day to liven up the environment. Shadow plays and Kungfu shows were highlights during the Summer vacation months of July and August.

During the coming months of September and October, 160 new programs will be performed. They come from all five continents, and include world renowned orchestras and dance ensembles.
