The Changchun Film Festival handed out its 12 awards on Saturday evening.
"The Founding of a Republic" is this year's Golden Deer Winner.
More than 600 guests with over 400 films attended this year's film festival. "The Founding of a Republic", is a film about the establishment of the People's Republic of China in 1949.

This year's Best Actor Award and Best Actress Award each have two winners. For Best Actor Award, Hong Kong's Nick Cheung and mainland's veteran Wang Xueqi are the winners, while the best actress award went to Zhao Wei from the mainland and Kara Hui from Hong Kong.
Started in 1992, the Changchun Film Festival is one of the four biggest film festivals in China. It is held every two years in Changchun.
