As a special event organized by the Shanghai International Art Festival, the 14th Shanghai Art Expo will kick off on September 8th.
About 130 galleries, 6,000 artworks from 14 countries including China, Germany, and France will gather together, making this the largest artwork trade show in Asia. The organizers will roll out themed exhibitions such as Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition.
Another section, the French Art Zone, will pool together the largest number of French galleries in the Expo's 14-year history. Rodin's Burghers of Calais, a bronze statue valued at 4-million U.S. dollars, will become the most expensive artwork exhibited at the Shanghai Art Expo.
