Renowned French conductor Michel Plasson has led China's National Symphony Orchestra at a concert in Beijing. The concert brings the curtain down on the one-month national ensembles' Excellent Performance Exhibition.
The concert opened with Beethoven's Symphony Number 5. The orchestra then performed Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky's "Drawing Exposition" and the Chinese classical masterpiece "Moonlight on the Pond". The exhibition brought together China's largest ensemble in the nearly 20 years and featured performances in Peking and Western Opera, drama and ballet.
