As a cultural calling card, porcelain china has the same spelling as the country China, representing our nation's speciality in this area. So appropriately, in the lead up to the coming Asian Games, ten top porcelain artists have been commissioned to produce a couple of grand pieces in the style of porcelain painting arts.
China's ten most famous contemporary porcelain artists, such as Zhou Guozhen, Wang Longfu, and Li Jusheng, have produced two works together during the "Top Porcelain Artists' Creation Activity For Asian Games".
The two paintings integrate the culture of Asian Games and Chinese Porcelain.
The two paintings were carefully done by the top porcelain artists.
One of the two paintings focuses on flowers and birds, and includes the national flower of every participating Asian country, thus conveying the meaning of unity.
The other one starts with a Tang Dynasty polo scene, mainly focusing on characters, mountains and water, and presenting a beautiful outlook.
The artists want to combine the culture of the Asian Games with that of Chinese porcelain, producing great porcelain art for the event. The two works will leave us with an intangible cultural heritage of humanity for the Guangzhou Asian Games.
