The wedding day is supposed to be the happiest, best and most special and important day of one's whole life. But it also means great pressure for newly weds, both physical and mental. The stage drama "If That's All There Is" tells the story of such a couple going through premarital anxiety. This production is presented by the UK theater Inspector Sands, and consists of three actors who are all the young company's founders.

What would you do if your husband-to-be was a conformist who only thinks in Powerpoint presentations?

And what would you do if your wife-to-be started going insane and acting weird over her fears of marriage?

The therapy provided by a jaded psychiatrist doesn't help much for the pair. Instead, a farewell card from an intern assistant in the bride's firm touches the softest spot of her heart, resulting in an anxiety catharsis and the reconstruction of her self-cognition.

The drama takes an in-depth look at the obsession with feeling happy at all cost. It uses a bold visual style and absurd humor to explore the great efforts people undertake in order to find fulfillment.

"If That's All There Is", the name of the drama, is inspired by Peggy Lee's bittersweet song "Is That All There Is?" Members of Inspector Sands say the maudlin humor of the song inspired the style of their show.

"If That's All There Is" is a winner of the Edinburgh International Festival
Fringe Award 2009.
