Souvenir tea cups, tea towels, and even a stitch by stitch guide on how to "Knit Your Own Royal Wedding"... the memorabilia and merchandise to mark next week's royal wedding are many and varied. Even the perfume industry has come up with its own way of celebrating the occasion, with a range of fragrances created in honor of Kate and William's nuptials.

Floris London, founded in 1730, has royal connections stretching back to the 19th Century. The company received its first Royal Warrant as Smooth Pointed Comb Maker to King George IV in 1820.

A royal warrant from Queen Victoria as perfumers followed in 1837, and royal warrants from every reigning monarch until the present day.

The company has now launched its "Wedding Bouquet" perfume, as Edward Bodenham, from the Floris family, explains.

Edward Bodenham, from the Floris Family, said, "Really it's a fragrance that we wanted to create as a celebration of the wedding. It's something we've always done in the past as well. We've always created society wedding fragrances for the church, St. James's Church just opposite us on Jermyn Street."

The Eau du Parfum was created by drawing on the most popular Floris wedding fragrances of the past and introducing a new white flower theme.

High-end perfumers Grossmith, founded in 1835, also have a history of royal warrants, and created a celebration perfume to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897.

Grossmith has based its new royal wedding fragrance on the original formula for a scent created to mark the wedding of Queen Mary.

The modern version, "Betrothal", celebrates the marriage of her great-great-grandson to one Catherine Middleton.

It will be available after April 29th.

Meanwhile, a bakery in southern Germany is also working hard on their own contribution to the royal wedding - an orange-cointreau cake.

The bakery, Konditorei Viktoria, which is located in Eberbach in the southern Odenwald region of Germany, will send a high-calorie cake to the UK for the wedding buffet.

It is a creation made of marzipan, freshly squeezed orange juice, cointreau and candied orange peel and is filled with orange-cointreau cream. It is then finished off with white icing and marzipan crowns to add a regal touch.

Florian Baecker, Pastry Chef, said, "We put some candied orange peel into this cake because orange marmalade is originally from England and so we made a connection there with the cake."

Prince William and Kate Middleton will tie the knot in Westminster Abbey on April 29th.
