An art exhibition of work by Yin Yanjiang called "Mental Journey of Calling Wisdom" has opened at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing.

Yin Yanjiang was born in Heilongjiang Province in 1940. He is now on staff at the Central Research Institute of Culture and History in Heilongjiang.

Yin's achievements in Chinese painting can be seen through a wide range of subject matter. His traditional landscapes resonate the vast lands of northeastern China and feature a combination of ancient styles with his own distinctive feel for nature. His animal paintings also bear a deep spiritual quality.

The exhibition is an exhaustive display of his exploration in art. It runs until next Thursday in the National Art Museum of China.
