Eagerly awaited, the famed painting "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains", is finally put together as one, in an emotional ceremony held in Taipei on Wednesday. The star exhibition indeed lived up to its pre-launch media hype, generating a lot of traffic Thursday. Let's now hear what Erich Shih from CtiTV brings for us.

Today marks the first full day of the exhibition “Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains”in its entirety, first time in 360 years! This historical event is made possible by the combined efforts of museums across the Taiwan Strait !let’s go inside and check things out

Visitors are lining up and taking close look at the legendary painting dating 660 years back in Yuan Dynasty

Ho Chuan-Hsing, chief curator of Dept. of Painting and Calligraphy, said, We put these two scrolls together so people can see for themselves how the painting was supposed to look like

The texture strokes in the painting are really amazing, and the legacy that comes from the painting and influenced other painters is really incredible. So it's really great to see it in person

Having the opportunity to put these two together for exhibition, makes people feel, just like the feel that long separated family members are finally brought together.

As we can see from guest interviews, people are absolutely thrilled to see the combined efforts literally combining the two long separated scrolls, and put them together. Which was beyond the reach even to the imperial court of Qing Dynasty.

And today’s event is, frankly speaking, unthinkable even a couple of years back. Therefore it is nothing short of a testament to the dividends paid by the continuing warming up of cross strait relations and the unlimited possibilities that could bring in the years to come.
