Third Straits Forum opens in Xiamen

A cultural exchange concert between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan was held at Xiamen Opera House on Sunday night. The event called "The Song of Renaissance" was part of the third Straits Forum.

"Friendship" and "Connection" were two main themes of the concert. Artists from both sides of the Straits presented fabulous performances of beautiful songs and impressive symphonies.

Officials from both sides also attended the concert. Lei Jia, the famous solo singer from the mainland performed several popular songs.

The audience appeared to enjoy the performance, and organizers called the event a complete success noting that people felt strong connections with those from across the Straits.
