Organizers of last year's Shanghai Expo are determined to shape up the site of the event as the city's new cultural landmark.

To reinforce that image, a series of programs and shows are to be launched at the former Expo pavilions this summer. The first hit is the 2011 Expo Music Season.

The music spectacular will feature a range of famous Chinese stars who will be singing and dancing on a riverside concert stage. Further enchanting the audience will be a 280-meter long backdrop of beautifully arranged water fountains and colorfully lighted water curtain.

The effect is expected to add even more romantic ambiance to the Chinese Valentine's Day which falls on this Saturday. It's said that the Expo Music Season will remain a perennial part of every summer and fall.
