Beijing's old commercial hub of Qianmen has long functioned as a place to experience the past and present of the ancient capital. If you are in Beijing now, don't miss the ongoing second Qianmen cultural festival.

Running in its second year, the annual festival is being held for ten days to revive some precious traditions.

The festival features a rich variety of activities to promote history and culture of the commercial hub.

With a history of over 600 years, Qianmen area has been a cradle of time-honored brands.

And one of the festival's highlights is that the old stores are displaying their own historical relics for visitors.
