The acrobatics troupe Fuyong from Shenzhen, China just won the top prizes at the 10th CIRCUBA International Summer Acrobatics Festival in Havana. The results came after six days of intense competition that included a Gold Medal and a Best Actress Award.

At this year's CIRCUBA Acrobatics Festival, parallel spins, fast car wheels and intricate balancing acts amazed the audience. The Chinese troupe distinguished itself with fitness and ethnic elements of Chinese paper-cutting.

More than 14 countries competed this year, bringing a total of 36 acts to the festival. CIRCUBA is one of the world's top 8 acrobatics competitions. The Chinese troupe was officially selected by the Chinese Embassy in Cuba.

In the prize-winning act, "Window paper," the Chinese acrobats carve out intricate geometrical patterns against a black backdrop with intricate detail and agility.

The troupe's "Chair in Mid-air," which boasts flips and leg extensions while perched over 6 stories high, equally impressed the audience and the jury alike.

In support of the 26th Universiade, the troupe will also be performing their prize-winning acts at the Shenzhen Opera House on Wednesday night.
