A classical music concert commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 1911 Chinese Revolution was held in Beijing on Tuesday.

Co-organized by the China's Ministry of Culture, the performance chronicles the century-long history through a detailed artistic approach.

The numbers, penned by six established composers such as Ye Xiaogang and Tang Jianping, are inspired by major events in contemporary Chinese history.

The music rendering is accompanied by a video projection of a 65-meter long scroll painting at the back of the stage to echo the revolutionary theme of the concert.

The gigantic painting complements the night of music, inviting the audience to relive the past and salute the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for China's revolutionary courses.
