Beijing Int'l Beer Fest folds its tent

Known for its historical monuments and rich culture, Beijing is also teaming with various forms of exotic fun.

For instance, beer drinkers hung out on some recent hot summer nights for the first Beijing International Beer Festival, which concluded on Monday.

Located at the Crab Island Resort in the eastern suburb of Beijing, the month-long festival has provided local drinkers and tourists from around the world with authentic Bavarian brews, snacks, and captivating cultural performances.

Eight huge tents, which can accommodate 150,000 people dining together, made festival goers feel like they were visiting Germany's Oktoberfest.

From traditional to international, from ancient themes to modern hotspots, the booming cultural and artistic activities are making the summer even hotter.
