A lavish evening gala celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival in Jiangmen city, South China's Guangdong Province on Monday. Renowned entertainers whose ancestral homes are in Jiangmen headlined the extravaganza.

Taking "Reunion" as the theme, the gala was composed of three acts. The whole program featured singing, dancing and a musical inspired from the fairy tales about the moon.

Indigenous cultural symbols of the city, including the UNESCO World Heritage watchtowers and the Bird's Paradise, a natural tourism attraction, are finely blended into the performances.

Entertainers from the mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao including Alan Tam, Joey Yung, Jenny Tseng and George Lam recall the audience members' memories with a string of old time Cantonese pop hits.
