"Sit and Sing" is a unique and joyous traditional folk art with more than 1000 years of history.

It's a marriage custom in eastern Sichuan Province and has been listed as an intangible cultural heritage since 2007. Due to that listing, more and more people have had a chance to see it.

These days, a sit and sing re-enactment is performed by Huaying city culture center in the countryside of Yanghe County in Sichuan Province. The performers are all amateurs from rural schools and companies.

The lyrics are easy to remember, and the set is very simple -- only one table.

From the charming performance visitors are introduced to part of the region's countryside culture.
