Already picked by The National Board of Review as the year's best film, Martin Scorsese's 3-D adventure "Hugo" brought together a mix of youthful enthusiasm and seasoned experience.

Adapted from Brian Selznick's bestseller, "The Invention of Hugo Cabret.", "Hugo" tells the tale of a young boy trying to unlock a secret left to him by his father. Despite acting since the age of eight, Butterfield, currently 14, felt the character of Hugo required a newfound maturity.

Asa Butterfield, actor, said, "Well, Hugo's character for one is quite unlike most of the characters I've played and he's very, a lot of the characters I've played have been very innocent, very young, very naive, but Hugo is far more mature, he's grown up a lot more than any other kid his age, he's had to go through so many more hardships than anyone else so it was a really intriguing character and there were loads of scenes which I thought I could play with it a lot."

"Hugo" opened in the UK on Friday and is scheduled to hit screens in Hong Kong on February 16th, 2012.
