Island tours being embraced for Spring Festival

With only one month left till the Spring Festival, more and more Chinese are making plans to head abroad for the holidays. This year, islands are hot destinations.

According to travel agencies of Kunming, in China's Southwest Yunnan Province, island tour packages to places like Langkawi, The Maldives and Koh Samui are all being flocked to by visitors.

Tourists are being attracted by the destinations' sunshine and beaches which make them the perfect choice for a winter escape.

As their popularity rises, tour prices have risen an astonishing 40-50 percent.

In addition, small group tours are a growing trend - drawing groups of friends and families to the sunny weather.
