Before January 8th, the largest-scale equestrian dressage ever done in the world was comprised of 12 horses and riders. But a new Guinness World Record was made when an equestrian team consisting of 30 horses and riders performed in east China's Jiangsu Province.

The new Guinness Record was made in Jiangyin City of Jiangsu Province when 30 Austrian Lipizzan horses and 30 riders of the Heilan International Equestrian Club completed the largest ever recorded equestrian dressage show over the weekend.

The Equestrian Club was issued a certificate by a Guinness World Records official.

Originating between the 5th and 4th century B.C., the Greeks trained horses in dressage to improve their battle capabilities. Dressage evolved into a sporting event with more artistic quality and entertainment. It was first included in the modern Olympic Games in the year 1900.

European countries have been strong in dressage events for a long time. Before this event, the largest-scale equestrian dressage only comprised 12 riders and 12 horses.

This time, the equestrian team of the Heilan International Equestrian Club not only created a new Guinness world record, but also set a milestone for equestrian sports in China.
