Madame Tussauds in London has unveiled waxwork figures of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, ahead of their first wedding anniversary on April 29th.

The couple's pose mimics the announcement of their engagement at St James' Palace, with a nervous but happy Wills clasping his hands and Kate beaming in her blue Issa dress.

Kate is also wearing a replica of the sapphire and diamond engagement ring that once belonged to Princess Diana. Tussauds say the Duke and Duchess were added to their royal zone due to strong public demand.

The sculptures cost 150 thousand pounds each to make and took four months to create.
