Harare Int'l Festival of Arts underway in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe's flagship art event The "Harare International Festival of Arts" is underway in the capital, Harare. The annual jamboree provides a showcase of top notch art and culture from Zimbabwe and the world.

It brings together wide-ranging displays of theatre, dance, music, circus street and spoken word performances, crafts and visual arts. 2012 is the event's 13th year and its theme is "A Show of Spirit" - pointing at the vibrancy and passion of the festival. The event was founded by Zimbabwean concert pianist Manuel Bagorro, and his actress sister. The festival runs through Sunday.
