Shanghai golden goblet award nominees

The 15th Shanghai International Film Festival released the second list of nominated films on Monday. The list includes works by directors from the Chinese mainland like "Detective Hunter Zhang", as well as works by directors from all over the world.

The second list of nominees includes 7 films. Among them is "The Bear" by Iranian director Khosro Masumi. It depicts the life and struggles of a husband and wife separated by war.

Japanese director Kenji Uchida became well-known at the Cannes film festival, and his work "The Key of Life" also made it onto the list. The movie centers on the encounter of an actor and an assassin.

Chinese director Gao Qunshu's film, "Detective Hunter Zhang", is based on a true story. It's about one detective's dedication to catching thieves.

The winners of the film festival will be announced on June 24th at the closing ceremony.
