Mexico's "King of Rancheras" Vicente Fernandez has said "adios" at his final Mexican concert on Saturday before thousands of fans in Tijuana.

Dressed in his signature mariachi suit complete with a wide-rimmed sombrero and golden gun sitting in a holster, Fernandez wowed the audience with his greatest hits. Having sold millions of records internationally, and with dozens of albums to his name, the humble mariachi singer decided to hang up his sombrero earlier this year and retire from touring.

The 72-year-old's farewell tour, called "My Goodbye", will continue for much of the year with further dates scheduled in the United States, Latin America and Spain.
