The Shanghai International Book Fair opened Wednesday at a downtown exhibition center. The local temperature outside is always above 35 degrees Celsius, and the atmosphere inside the fair is also warm and energetic.

This year’s book air is larger than ever, with more books, more cultural activities, and more celebrities, and of course, more visitors.

This is a carnival for Chinese readers. Every day since the Shanghai Book Fair opened, the exhibition hall is filled with visitors. They are from all walks of life, but they all share a love of reading.

A visitor said, "I came here to buy books for my son. I chose a bilingual book for him because he’s very interested in English. This is my second time here. The book fair is very good. There are all kinds of books here, and I find that I don’t have enough time."

Another visitor said, "Here I have more choices. The quality of books on the internet is not that good, and there aren’t so many kinds of books in one bookstore. At the book fair, there are a lot of publishing houses and many new books. It’s easy to find my favorite. "
