Sports bring people together, friends, teammates and nations. And now a baseball-themed flick has brought three mega-stars out on the red-carpet in Los Angeles. Clint Eastwood joined co-stars Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake for the world premiere of "Trouble with the Curve."

The film marks the feature film directorial debut of Eastwood’s longtime producing partner Robert Lorenz. It tells the story of Gus Lobel, one of the best scouts in baseball for decades, who is played by Clint Eastwood. But, despite his efforts to hide it, age is starting to catch up with him.

Nevertheless, Gus - who can tell a pitch just by the crack of the bat - refuses to be benched for what could be the final innings of his career. He sets up a recruiting trip, accompanied by his daughter Mickey, played by Amy Adams, that addresses more than just the love of the game.

For Justin Timberlake, who’s carved out a well-earned reputation as a fine actor, the opportunity to work with Eastwood was not lost. Catch "Trouble with the Curve" across the US from Friday.
