When tourism resorts are crowded with visitors and camera flash lights, a break from the city to take in some fresh air wouldn’t go amiss. And, it would be even more of an experience to do this on horseback.
At the stable, I meet Mr Lim, the general manager of this club. He says there are over fifty horses, some belonged to the club, some to the members. In order to keep fit, every horse needs to be let out for exercise twice a day. On days when there are not enough members coming to ride them, Mr Lim has a good way to get them running.
Although China has a long history of affinity with horse-riding -- even Genghis Khan conquered the world on horse back -- to the urban people of today, riding may be something very new. Horse clubs are popping up very rapidly in China. Hopefully before soon, more and more Chinese people would get a chance to enjoy this ride.
