There's no better way to usher in the New Year than a concert offering some classical music, which can soothe our emotions and lighten our mood. Here at Beijing's Forbidden City Concert Hall, music is doing more than just entertaining. It's helping babies get a head start on life.

It seems to be an ordinary concert.

But the audience is by no means your typical crowd.

These special concerts hope to enlighten babies with the power of music.

These parents have bought into the idea that immersing their children to classical music at an early age, will help enlighten their minds.

Although not knowing where they are, these babies are surely going to get a head start in life, when it comes to identifying great classical music.

Conductor & violinist Hu Kun said, "There have been concerts for young people in foreign countries as early the 1960’s, but mostly for pupils and middle-school students. This is the first ever concert for babies in China."

Hu Kun became one of the Chinese nationals to win a prize at a major international violin competition, and the first Chinese professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London. And now he is giving something back to society.

These special concerts hope to enlighten babies with the power of music.
