This spectacle at the Chinatown in Mexico city is drawing in the crowds. The Chinatown here has more than 70 years of history, and this show attracts more than 200,000 people every year .

The dragon dancer and lion dancers surprise customers at this restaurant.

"It is such a pleasant surprise. The show is so beautiful and I just hope more people can join the celebration," said a local resident.

Many Mexicans enthusiastic about Chinese culture have been participating in the event. Some also have a good grasp of the language.

"We love Chinese culture. We like dragon dancing, lion dancing and martial arts. We come and perform every year," said Ma Lin, captain of Dragon and Lion Dancing Team.

Meanwhile in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, residents have been stocking up on plants and going to temples to pray for a good start to the Lunar New Year.

"Peach blossoms represent spring, and having one at home means it’s the New Year. If there is no peach blossom plant in the house, then it means no spring and no new year," said a resident.

Temples are full of worshippers thanking gods for a good year, as well as asking for the next one to be better.

In Vietnamese culture the horse, which represents patience and persistence, is an animal that can bring fortune and prosperity.
