CCTV's Spring Festival Gala wraps up final rehearsal

The countdown to the much-anticipated new year celebrations is almost over. On Tuesday the CCTV Spring Festival Gala wrapped up its final rehearsal and the line-up was finalised, with a total of 42 shows set to hit the gala stage.

The show ranges from dance and song performances, to comedy sketches, acrobatics and magic shows. Half of the performers will be new faces in this year’s event. French actress Sophie Marceau will be singing "La Vie En Rose" live with Liu Huan, while South Korean TV sensation Lee Min-ho and Taiwan singer Harlem Yu will also be performing a duet.

The creative shows are also a major highlight of this year’s event, including a reimagination of "The Flight of the Bumble Bees" performed by pianist Lang Lang.
