A giant panda kindergarten in Chengdu has been attracting a lot of attention over the Spring Festival. The Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base in Southwest China's Sichuan Province currently has nine giant panda cubs, who have all become star attractions over the holidays.

At the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base, these baby pandas have been attracting crowds of visitors since January 30th.

Every day, people have been busy taking pictures of the adorable creatures, which were either cuddled together inside their nursery or were seen climbing up and down various objects when taken outdoors.

The cubs even played on rocking horses.

However, it's not easy to lure the panda babies on to horseback.

"Rocking horses are new for these panda cubs. At first they don't want to have a try. So in order to attract their attention, we put some honey on the horses, because they like sweet things, just like kids do," panda breeder Cheng Ying said.

Now these panda cubs are not only stars at the research base, they also have created quite a buzz online.

The panda cubs were artificially bred and born in 2013, with the oldest now six-months-old and the youngest twins four-months-old.

The Chengdu Panda Base opened in 1987 with six endangered pandas. The nearly 500-acre reserve has bred 124 giant pandas since then.
